Love Me Some Marsala

There’s only 2 more weeks left of this year and everyone must be excited to see what The Pantone Institute has forecasted to be the color of the year. I’ve seen this color around lately and I own a few items as well. Marsala, a deep, warm, ruby wine color is on the color trend for this upcoming year. You guys have definitely seen this color all year round from stars like Beyoncé and Blake Lively rocking it on the red carpet.

We all have those days where we just want to get all dressed up and enjoy yourself a little. Here’s my outfit of the day; a little more on the comfy and cozy side. I kept my outfit neutral and added color with my headband and lips. #Pantone2015

I’ve Had Enough of You.

Dear Snow,

Your presence has been a warm welcome but I think it’s time for you to say goodbye.

Am I the only one who’s been tired of seeing the snow for the past few weeks? I’m so over this cold and freezing weather. I’m ready for the sun to come out and stay out! My friend decided to make use of the snow while it lasted so we had a little fun in it. Outfits like these are usually my “go-to” looks whether I want to dress comfy or I’m just running late. It’s kind of like throwing on a pair of sweats and a hoodie just in a more presentable way. Loose sweaters go perfect with a pair of jeans or leggings. What’s your favorite “go-to” look?

P.S. – Please don’t come back until next year.

A Fashion Must-Have.

ImageA blazer can pull together any look you are going for from casual to a night-out or to your office. I love the idea that I can wear jeans and throw on a blazer and it would make a simple outfit look prominent. It’s a good idea to have at least a solid black blazer hanging in your closet. Just like a little black dress, a black blazer can always be your go-to on any occasion. Today’s outfit of the day is from Charlotte Russe.

A Gust of Wind

As much as I was enjoying the snow, I think I’m officially over this cold weather! This may be the first year in so long that New York has had a real winter. I can’t wait till it gets warmer outside and I can wear my flip-flops instead of my knee-high boots! Here’s a quick little outfit of the day post from yesterday’s outfit. My sweater is from Century 21.It’s so heavy and keeps me entirely warm throughout the day. The best part about it is that it has a little hoodie! Since there was nothing going on with my outfit I threw in my printed scarf to add a little detail. My boots and high-waisted jeans are from my go-to store, Charlotte Russe.ImageImageImageImage

I hope everyone had a great start to the semester. Keep on sparking! Xo

Monday Goodies!

Besides the fact that I started classes today and the weather was gross, coming home to some goodies made it all better! My favorite part about the month is receiving magazines in my mailbox. As for my attire today, I definitely did not feel like dressing up so I threw on a hoodie and my fluffy socks to keep my cozy for my 4 hour lecture! Hope everyone had a great start to their week!
